Today, we’re going to take a closer look at BuyLegalMeds’ 19.4% CBD “Therapy Tea” strain (link).
It is one of the strains we saw last week our review of BLM’s 3 different CBD flower strains. For those that saw the review, we looked at Therapy Tea, Cherry Wine, and Special Sauce.
All 3 strains were very good, but the Therapy Tea was the best quality CBD flower I’ve seen yet. So I decided to order an ounce of it for further testing (for science 😉
I ordered on Thursday, Jan 18th, and the package was delivered on Monday, Jan 22nd. Not bad at all!
The package was a standard yellow padded 9×12 envelope. There was no smell at all, and the package was very discrete.
Inside the yellow envelope, there were lots of small packages.
The only reason I’m giving a 9 instead of a 10 is because the flower came in several small packages instead of one large package. Not a big deal at all, but it did take a little while to open all of them.
The design and packaging are very nice. The package is smell proof and re-sealable.
Here’s the front of one of the packages (there was nothing on the back).
Testing Grade 10/10
Safety testing: Yes (+5)
Potency Testing: Yes (+3)
Terpene Analysis: Yes (+2)
First Smell 9/10
Since I had already tried a gram of Therapy Tea, I had high expectations of the smell and quality of the product. And let me tell you. I wasn’t disappointed one bit.
Cloud Ni9e did a really great job at curing and packaging this flower. The smell is just wonderful. There terpene profile is very fruity, sweet, and a tiny bit skunky.
Bud Quality 9/10
Again, I had already tried the gram size of this strain, so I knew the buds were pretty good quality, but once I started unpacking these flowers, I was pretty floored.
The buds were all consistently large and perfectly intact.
They were very dense and visually rich in cannabinoids. Lots of visible trichomes.
buds are mostly dark purple in color, with some green mixed in.
So far, I’ve only found one seed.
Vaping Taste 8/10
If you’re looking for flavor, then you need to try this flower. The taste is super sweet. And if I had to rename it, I’d probably have called it something like Starburst.
Not only is it super flavorful, it’s also very fresh tasting. So kudos to BLM on the great job of curing.
For those who don’t know, the strains of CBD flower we review here are all very low in THC. They have to be under .3% THC in order to be sold legally, so you definitely won’t get stoned from this.
Which isn’t to say that there isn’t a high.
The effects of CBD alone can be pretty subtile. But when vaping or smoking high CBD / low THC strains, the effects are much more noticeable. This is mostly because it works so much faster, but also because you are getting the medicine in a “Whole Plant” or “Full Spectrum” form.
So instead of getting only CBD, you’re also getting a little bit of THC, CBN, CBG, THCV, and many other awesome cannabinoids.
The effects of this Therapy Tea in particular, are very pleasant. Vaping about 1/3 of a gram in my Arizer Argo relieved anxiety and relaxed me for about 1 to 2 hours.
If you’re using this flower along with a high THC strain, it will prevent that intense head high, and leave you feeling clear, present, and able to really benefit from the amazing medicinal properties of cannabis.
Overall Value 8/10
There is no denying that this product is top notch. I have only seen about 6 or 7 different strains of CBD flower, but so far, this is the nicest for sure.
The only issue I have is the price. I really wanted to give a 6 or 7 for value, but since the product is so good, and I haven’t seen better yet, I went a bit higher.
Also, when I ordered, I was able to save %30 off of my order by submitting a review for my previous order. So instead of paying $220, I only payed $154 for the ounce.
You can also get %20 off if you sign up for their newsletter, so if you are interested in buying, make sure to grab a discount first.
